Flexible Jumpover Hoses for Heating Medium Transfer
Jumpover hoses are essential connectors used to transfer heating media, such as steam, hot water, or hot oil, between sections of jacketed piping or bolt-on heating jackets. Flexible metal jumpovers offer a faster and more versatile alternative to rigid piping or stainless steel tubing solutions. Widely used in plants and refineries, CSI flexible jumpovers are designed for efficient and reliable heat transfer applications.
For steam service, the standard configuration includes a 3/4-inch hose with a Type 321 stainless steel core and a Type 304 stainless steel braid, featuring female JIC hydraulic connections on both ends. Adapters are provided to connect the JIC fittings to standard 3/4-inch couplings on jacketed piping or bolt-on heating jackets. Additional sizes, such as 1/2-inch and 1-inch hoses, as well as various connection options, are available.
CSI flexible jumpovers come pre-insulated with closed-cell silicone sponge insulation rated for temperatures up to 400°F. For higher temperature applications, flexible fiberglass insulating jackets are available. Standard jumpovers for hot oil service are equipped with 1-inch double-braided hoses for added durability and heat resistance.
