ControHeat Bolt-On heating jackets are fabricated from ASTM B179 Gr.A 356.1 copper-free (max 0.25%) cast aluminum. The aluminum is not designed to hold pressure but only to promote efficient heat transfer. A pressure chamber fabricated from SA-178 carbon steel is embedded in the aluminum. The engineering of the pressure chamber is based on design details which are supported by burst testing in accordance with the ASME Code, Section VIII, Division I. All welding is performed per ASME Code, Section IX. Each chamber is pressure tested per ASME Code, Section VIII, Division 1.
